How our KFC spec ad is built, in five beats.
Use this structure for your own app, booking flow or online shop. You don't need us to do it.
- Beat 1
Ask the question they already have.
One short line on a real scene. No logo, no intro.
"Hungry?"
- Beat 2
One feature, one line, one tap.
A line of voiceover names the benefit. A cursor taps and shows it.
"Make it 12."
- Beat 3
Show the choice, then make it.
Lay out the options side by side, then pick one on screen.
In store, curbside, drive thru
- Beat 4
Give a reason to install today.
The deal or the reward, shown in the app, not described.
"App-only deals."
- Beat 5
End on one thing to do.
One instruction. Not three links and a hashtag.
"Get the KFC app"
Screen record yourself doing the one thing a customer comes to you for, start to finish. If it takes more than a few taps, fix that before you spend anything on a video.
From brief to posted, in four steps.
Shown with the real files from the KFC spec ad.
- 01
Brief
What the film must make people do, where it will play and what it can't say. One page, agreed before any writing.
- 02
Script and storyboard
Every second planned on paper: the line, the picture, the move into the next beat. You approve it before anything is drawn. Changes are cheap here.
- 03
Build
Animation, voice, sound and music, made for the screen it plays on. Text kept inside the safe zone, frame by frame.
- 04
Check and deliver
Watched at full size on a phone, facts checked against their sources, then the files go to you, ready to post.

Not sure which? Send a link to your business and we'll tell you what we'd make first.
Before you send anything.
How long does a film take?+
A one minute explainer or a 30 second promo usually takes a few working days. Longer films take more, mostly in checking.
How do changes work?+
You approve the script and storyboard before anything is animated, so most changes happen on paper, where they're quick. After that we fix anything that doesn't match what you approved.
What do I need to send?+
A link to your site or app and one sentence on what people should do after watching. Logos, footage and brand rules help, but we can start from your site alone.
How does pricing work?+
Each film is quoted after a short brief. Length, how much is animated by hand and whether it needs a voice all change the price. You get the quote before any work starts.
Do you use AI?+
Yes, for some parts, and we'll tell you which. Some films use AI generated images and clips, generated voices or generated music. The script, the storyboard, the animation and the edit are done by hand, and every fact is checked by a person.
Is the KFC film made for KFC?+
No. It's a spec ad, made to show the format, and it isn't affiliated with KFC. The fashion and car brands in our work are fictional, made up for the same reason.
Who owns the finished film?+
You do. The masters, captions file and stills are yours to post anywhere, as often as you like.
Can I just ask a question first?+
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp or use the form below. If a video isn't what your business needs right now, we'll say so.
Tell us what people should do after watching.
We'll reply with what we'd make, how long it takes and a quote. No call needed unless you want one.
