Feed drift

A fan edit, not affiliated with Ferrari, Formula 1 or Lewis Hamilton: a Formula 1 car drifts out of one Instagram post and parks in the next, then the video comes apart into the five layers that make it.

The problem,
and the picture.

The brief

Show a brand how a Reel can open in a place the viewer already knows, their own feed, and keep them watching by showing how the trick was made.

The approach

Two Instagram posts are rebuilt from scratch and a 3D car model is driven across them, over the like and comment bar and into a grid box. The tyre marks are drawn live from each wheel and the smoke puffs from the rear tyres. Then the video rewinds, tilts into 3D and splits into its five layers, each one labelled: the floor, the tyre marks, the Instagram screen, the smoke and the car. A sound sits on every move.
